Naming Ceremony
Bringing a baby into the world is one of life’s most amazing miracles. Welcoming the child with a naming ceremony is a way to celebrate the birth of your child and introduce them into your family and community. This ceremony also includes newly adopted children as well.
A baby naming ceremony is usually a non-religious occasion as distinct from a Baptism or Christening. While it has no legal bearing parents often promise to be the best parents they can and often ask other important individuals to pledge their commitment to act as significant adults in their child’s life. It is a great way to strengthen bonds, declare their love and affirm their responsibilities.
Many parents also present a special gift to the child during the ceremony to be kept and treasured in years to come. The occasion can also be marked with readings, poems songs or a ritual of your choosing.
You will receive a Certificate of Naming as a keepsake to the importance of the event. I look forward to helping you create an event with memories that last a lifetime.
Renewal of Vows
What a wonderful way to re-affirm your love for each other by renewing your vows. There are many reasons to renew your vows – you eloped and want to share this with those who couldn’t be there; you’re celebrating a special anniversary, or you just want to restate publicly your commitment to each other.
It can be intimate with very close family/friends or a big party. Some couples follow the format of their original wedding or might create something new that highlights the life they have had together and include family (children and grandchildren) as well as poems and rituals that look forward to the future.
It can take place anywhere or somewhere that has sentimental meaning for you both – at home, on the beach, in a garden or park, or even on a cruise.
